With hearts full of sorrow and love, the family of Kaitlin Tyne Miles announces her passing on Friday, September 5, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 33. Kaitlin’s life was a beautiful reflection of kindness, determination, and devotion to family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kaitlin was born on August 23, 1992, in Union Town, Pennsylvania, to her loving parents Mark Alan Miles and Marta J. McCombs. She spent her childhood in Frederick Town, PA, where she formed lifelong bonds and built the foundation of her strong, caring character.
She later graduated from Harmony High School in 2010, remembered by her classmates and teachers as a bright, compassionate young woman who balanced determination with a gentle, generous spirit.
After high school, Kaitlin pursued her passion for learning at Robert Morris University, where she studied forensics. Her intellectual curiosity and drive led her to excel in her studies, embracing the challenges of higher education with enthusiasm and focus.
Although her career path would eventually take her in a different direction, her time at Robert Morris reflected her deep commitment to exploring her interests and building a meaningful future.
In the years that followed, Kaitlin relocated to Tampa, Florida, where she began a career with Hilton Hotels. Through her dedication and strong work ethic, she advanced into management roles, quickly becoming a respected and valued member of the Hilton team.
Colleagues admired her professionalism, her ability to connect with people, and her unwavering dedication to her work. Kaitlin’s warmth, organizational skills, and leadership left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to work alongside her.
While her professional accomplishments were many, Kaitlin’s greatest joy was found in her family and loved ones. She cherished time with her father, mother, grandmother, and siblings, and her beloved dog Zoe, who was her constant companion and travel partner.
Zoe was always by her side—on walks, on trips to the beach, and even on vacations abroad. Kaitlin’s love for the outdoors was evident in her enjoyment of hiking, traveling, and long, peaceful days at the beach, where she found both joy and serenity.
Kaitlin is survived by her father Mark Alan Miles of Winfield; her mother Marta McCombs (Tom Amodeo) of Frederick Town, PA; her sisters Kenzie Craig of North Carolina and Kailee Craig of Oklahoma; and her grandmother Joann McCluskey (Joe Kirk) of Winfield.
She is also survived by her aunts and uncles Joe Miles, Tommy and Missy Miles, Richard and Gena Miles, Beth Cruit, Trisha and Dan Zappia, as well as many cousins, extended relatives, and close friends who will continue to honor her memory.
