Khristian Vicknair Obituary, Death; – A motorcyclist tragically lost his life early Sunday morning in a collision involving five vehicles on Interstate 35 in San Marcos, as confirmed by a city spokesperson to KSAT.

The incident was reported shortly before 2:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of South I-35, close to McCarty Lane. Investigators have established that the motorcycle collided with another vehicle traveling southbound, according to officials.

The motorcyclist sustained “fatal injuries” and was declared dead at the scene, as reported by authorities. He has been identified as Khristian Vicknair, 33, from New Braunfels.

It remains uncertain whether any additional injuries were reported.

The southbound lanes of I-35 were shut down for about six hours while the Collision Investigation team from the San Marcos Police Department examined the scene and crews worked to clear the roadway.

In a post on Facebook, the San Marcos police announced that the roadway was reopened at 9 a.m.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
