Authorities declared a mass casualty incident Friday evening after an active shooter situation at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua left multiple people injured.
Emergency officials said the violence began around 7:30 p.m., when two armed suspects opened fire before fleeing the scene. At least one person sustained a gunshot wound to the face and remains in life-threatening condition, while another suffered a serious arm laceration. Several additional victims were also reported.
Due to the number of casualties, first responders classified the event as an MCI. At least nine ambulances were dispatched, and multiple patients were transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, where trauma alerts were activated.
Fire crews at the scene called for extra transport resources, and a statewide mobilization unit was deployed to assist. Guests were evacuated as a heavy police presence secured the area.
As of 8:48 p.m., authorities confirmed at least three patients had been taken to the hospital by ambulance, though the total number of victims remains unclear.
Both suspects are still at large, and police are urging Nashua residents to shelter in place and stay clear of the country club while the investigation continues.
This is a developing story.
