With profound sadness and heavy hearts, the family and friends of Conrad Riley Becker announce his passing on September 24, 2025, at the young age of 21.

Born on December 6, 2003, in Tupelo, Mississippi, Conrad was the beloved son of Rachel Prater Becker and Robert Conrad Becker. A bright, compassionate, and deeply loved young man, Conrad’s time on earth was far too short, yet the impact he left behind will be felt forever by all who knew him.

Conrad’s journey began in Tupelo, where he attended Tupelo Christian Preparatory School from 2008 until 2019, when he transferred to Tupelo High School for his sophomore year. He graduated proudly with the Class of 2022, earning the admiration of teachers and classmates alike.

At the time of his passing, Conrad was pursuing a degree in Cyber Security at Mississippi State University, a field that reflected his sharp intellect, curiosity, and desire to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Known for his radiant smile and warm personality, Conrad had an incredible gift for connecting with people. He was the kind of person who could walk into a room and instantly light it up with his humor, kindness, and genuine interest in others.

Friends describe him as encouraging, thoughtful, and wise beyond his years—a young man who always found the right words to lift someone’s spirits or offer a helping hand. Conrad’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. A lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church, he was deeply involved in parish life and youth ministry.

He participated actively in CYO and VISION, an annual retreat at Notre Dame University, where his faith deepened and his commitment to service grew. Summers spent at Alpine Camp for Boys in Mentone, Alabama, helped shape his love for the outdoors and his appreciation for life’s simple joys.

Though he did not formally participate in school athletics, Conrad was a gifted and passionate sports enthusiast. He loved wake surfing, snow skiing, golf, basketball, and pickleball, hobbies he pursued with enthusiasm and joy.

He was also known as a peacemaker, someone who brought people together and diffused conflict with his calm demeanor and respect for others. A loyal supporter of Mississippi State University, Conrad was also a devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan—proof of his fun-loving and sometimes contradictory spirit.

Conrad’s passing is an immeasurable loss to his family, who cherished him deeply. He is survived by his parents, Bob Becker of Belden and Rachel (Becker) Prater of Tupelo; his grandparents George Robert and Marlene Becker of Johnson City, TN; siblings Robert Alan DuBose (Kristen), Matthew Becker, Jennifer DuBose, Nicole Becker Rollins (Joshua), and Danielle Becker; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry Ann Prater and Billy Robert Prater.

A Holy Hour of silent prayer will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, followed by a Funeral Mass at 4:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Tim Murphy and Father Henry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery in Saltillo, Mississippi.

Though Conrad’s life ended far too soon, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His kindness, laughter, and unwavering faith serve as a lasting reminder that life is precious and best lived with love, purpose, and compassion. Rest peacefully, dear Conrad — your light will never fade.
