Elieser Lores Montano Obituary, Death; – Further information has come to light following a deadly shooting at an apartment complex located south of Jenison on Thursday morning.
On Friday, Detective Captain Jake Sparks of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the victim, Elieser Lores Montano, aged 52, succumbed to a gunshot wound in a unit on the 100 block of Brookmeadow Court, situated just west of the junction of Kenowa Avenue and 44th Street, at approximately 9:30 AM. He was declared dead at the scene, and the conclusion that Montano was a homicide victim was reached roughly 24 hours after the event.
Following interviews with neighbors and individuals connected to the residence in question, it was established that the incident stemmed from a “domestic situation,” posing no threat to the wider community. The victim’s unnamed 49-year-old wife was apprehended at the scene and is currently in custody, awaiting arraignment in the 58th District Court.
