Thomas Bell Obituary, Death;- Cincinnati Police have apprehended and charged an 18-year-old individual following the shooting incident on September 16 that resulted in the death of a 16-year-old.

Davon Marcum, a resident of West End, was taken into custody on September 27 and faces murder charges. His bail has been established at $1 million, as per the records from the Hamilton County Justice Center. At the time of the incident that led to the death of Thomas Bell, Marcum was on probation for a previous charge related to possessing weapons while under disability. He had been placed on community control in July for a duration of two years.

Surveillance footage of the shooting, acquired by The Enquirer, reveals that 13 shots were fired from a silver SUV around 5 p.m. on September 16. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Walnut Street, directly across from Grant Park at the intersection with East McMicken Avenue.

The footage indicates that nine shots were discharged from the vehicle at close range towards the victim, later identified as Thomas Bell.

Upon the arrival of officers at the scene, they discovered Bell suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the department. Additionally, a 14-year-old girl was also reported to have been shot, according to city data.

First responders transported both Bell and the girl to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Police reported that Bell succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The girl was discharged from the hospital on September 17, as stated by a department spokesperson.

It remains unclear whether any charges have been filed in connection with the shooting of the girl.
