Oregon State Police reported on Sunday night that a motorist lost their life following a vehicle accident along Interstate 5 near Albany. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. on the southbound lanes of I-5, specifically at milepost 270 in Marion County.

According to preliminary information, Del-Valle Pegueros, who was 49 years old and a resident of Albany, was operating a Nissan Sentra in the southbound direction. For reasons that remain unclear, the driver departed the roadway at that time. The vehicle subsequently rolled multiple times across the southbound shoulder area.

Officials confirmed that Del-Valle Pegueros did not survive the injuries he sustained in the crash, as he was pronounced deceased at the location where the accident happened.
