Law enforcement agencies have announced that two individuals are currently under arrest in relation to the weekend’s fatal shooting incident in Ringgold.
These suspects, identified as eighteen-year-old Eric James Link and nineteen-year-old Julian Williamson, are being held in Tennessee and are being held there pending their return to Catoosa County for legal proceedings.
Investigators with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that this case is still being examined, indicating that more details might come to light.
Earlier reports from the sheriff’s office named the two women involved in the deadly incident.
According to Sheriff Gary Sisk, Daysha Lynch, who was twenty-four years old, and her eighteen-year-old sister Emma Lynch were both victims of gunfire on Saturday evening.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, which was described as chaotic, around 11:00 p.m. near a residence on Indian Springs Road.
Medical professionals provided assistance to the injured women, who were then transported by emergency medical services to a nearby hospital.
Sheriff Sisk reported that Daysha Lynch did not survive her injuries, while Emma Lynch is undergoing recovery.
Preliminary findings from the ongoing investigation indicate that a dispute erupted during a gathering, escalating into violence that resulted in the shooting.
Further information suggests that the individuals who committed the act and fled the area were familiar to those present at the party.
