With heavy hearts, family and friends are mourning the loss of Darius Dyous of Prospect, Nova Scotia, who tragically passed away on October 1st at just 19 years old following Halifax traffic accident.

A hardworking young man employed with Dexter Construction, Darius was known for his kindness, humor, and larger-than-life personality. Though his time with us was short, his impact was profound, and his memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born and raised in Prospect, Darius carried a love for his hometown community wherever he went. He was admired as someone who made friends easily, always bringing warmth and laughter into any room.

His generosity of spirit and ability to lift others up, even in their darkest times, earned him a special place in countless lives. Beyond his work and friendships, Darius had a deep passion for country music and the cowboy lifestyle.

Known as “our cowboy at heart,” he embodied the values of loyalty, strength, and love for simple joys. Whether it was singing along to his favorite songs, spending time outdoors, or sharing laughs with those he cared about, Darius lived each day with authenticity and courage.

To his family, Darius was more than just a son and brother—he was a source of light and joy. His mother, Janet, along with his extended family and friends, are devastated by this sudden loss.

In the midst of their grief, they are also profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the community.
