Spencer “Spence” Lesinski Obituary News- In Loving Memory of Spencer “Spence” Lesinski, 24: A Beloved Son, Brother, Friend, and Marine Remembered for His Bright Spirit

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Spencer Lesinski, who left this world far too early on October 3, 2025, at just 24 years old. Though his time with us was brief, Spencer’s impact on the lives of those who knew him was immeasurable.

He was a force of nature, a larger-than-life soul who could light up any room he walked into. His booming laugh, infectious energy, and unapologetic zest for life made him unforgettable.

For those fortunate enough to have crossed his path, it is impossible to think of Spencer without also remembering the joy, love, and laughter he brought wherever he went.

Spencer, affectionately known to many as “Spence” or “Red,” had a gift for making others feel alive. He lived with a rare kind of passion, throwing himself wholeheartedly into every moment, every friendship, and every adventure.

Whether he was cracking jokes, rallying friends for spontaneous trips, taking over the dance floor, or belting out karaoke like it was his personal concert, Spencer was never afraid to be himself — and that authenticity drew people in. Once you met him, you became part of his circle, embraced by his boundless enthusiasm and warmth.

Born on July 10, 2001, to Kevin and Kimberley (Skelton) Lesinski, Spencer grew up surrounded by a loving family who shaped his spirit of loyalty and compassion. He was a proud graduate of Waynesburg Central High School, where his humor and energy left their mark on classmates and teachers alike.

Following graduation, he answered a higher calling, serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps, a testament to his bravery, discipline, and commitment to protecting others. After his service, he continued to work hard and build his future, most recently employed with TruCore out of Point Marion.

Spencer’s life was deeply rooted in love for his family. He is survived by his devoted parents, Kevin and Kim; his brother and lifelong friend, Brenden; his grandparents, Martha Atwell and Don and Marilyn Lesinski; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished him: Kelley Garrett, Michelle King (Tim), Bill Skelton, Devon Garrett, Trevor King (Kristen), Cole Garrett (Taylor), Cassidy King, and Riley King (Gwen).

Though he leaves behind a void that can never be filled, he is reunited in eternal rest with his grandparents, William and Connie Skelton and Thomas Atwell, and his great-grandmother, Julia Lesinski.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, PA, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m., officiated by Pastor Jay Buckhalter. Military funeral honors will be rendered by The Greene County Honor Guard in tribute to Spencer’s service.

The outpouring of love and remembrance from Spencer’s friends speaks volumes about the man he was. One childhood friend reflected: “Last night I lost my childhood best friend, Spencer — though to us he was always ‘Red’ or ‘Spence.’ Just last weekend, he was standing by my side at my wedding, laughing like we always did. That was Spencer — always showing up when it mattered. If he loved you, you knew it without a doubt. I’ll carry that with me always. Rest easy, brother. Until we meet again.”

Another friend shared: “Although I didn’t know Spencer for very long, the time I did know him left a lasting impact. Less than a week ago, he was celebrating with us at Katie & Dylan Ely’s wedding — so full of joy and laughter. His smile, his love for life, and the way he cared for others were magnetic. He will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.”

Spencer’s story is one of light, love, laughter, and loyalty. His absence will be felt every day, yet his spirit will live on in the countless memories he created with those lucky enough to know him. To his family, friends, and community, Spencer was more than just a loved one — he was a reminder to live fully, love deeply, and never take a moment for granted.

Rest in peace, Spencer. Your legacy of joy will never be forgotten.
