Melvin Cravitz,Adrian Daulby Obituary, Death; Victims killed in synagogue terror attack formally identified

Melvin Cravitz,Adrian Daulby Obituary, Death; – The two individuals who lost their lives in the terrorist attack at a synagogue in north Manchester last week have now been officially identified, as confirmed by the police.

The funeral service for Adrian Daulby, aged 53, took place on Monday (October 6), just a day after hundreds gathered in Pendlebury to honor the other victim, Melvin Cravitz, a father of three, who passed away at the age of 66.

Both men were fatally injured during a terror attack perpetrated by Jihad Al-Shamie, outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue on October 2.
Three men are still hospitalized with serious injuries, including a security guard suffering from car-related injuries and a Community Security Trust (CST) worker who sustained stab wounds.

Greater Manchester Police reported that the formal identification procedures were completed last Friday (October 3), confirming the identities of the two deceased men as Mr. Adrian Jonathan Daulby and Mr. Melvin Lesley Cravitz.

This allowed for Mr. Daulby and Mr. Cravitz to be released following the conclusion of the Jewish Sabbath, enabling their families to conduct their burial rites in accordance with their traditions and faith, as stated by the police.

The statement further noted: “Coronial proceedings will be initiated by HM Coroner Mr. Golombeck at a later date, with information to be communicated first to the families of the deceased, followed by the broader community as soon as possible.

“Greater Manchester Police, along with the HM Coroner’s Office, Counter Terrorism Police North West, and the Independent Office for Police Conduct, express their gratitude for the understanding and support received from the Jewish community during this challenging period.”

Greater Manchester Police also announced on Sunday that warrants for the continued detention of four individuals, arrested on suspicion of committing, preparing, and instigating acts of terrorism related to the incident, have been issued. The suspects may be held in custody for an additional five days from the time the warrant was granted.
Two other individuals, a man and a woman, were released without charges after their arrest last Thursday. The police
