Braydon Natomagan Obituary, Death; – Two individuals have been charged following the shooting death of a man near Pinehouse on Friday afternoon.
As reported by the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers were alerted to a shooting incident just outside Pinehouse at approximately 2 p.m. on October 3. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a man with serious injuries, who was subsequently transported to a local clinic where he was pronounced dead.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Braydon Natomagan from Pinehouse. His family has been informed of the situation.
Investigators have established that an altercation took place among a group of individuals, during which a firearm was discharged, hitting Natomagan. Two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and were later located by police near Beauval. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, the suspects continued to evade capture until they were eventually apprehended on an off-road trail.
The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes unit has charged 25-year-old Christopher Nolan with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm while prohibited. He is set to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on October 6.
A second suspect, 31-year-old Kelsey Iron, faces charges of accessory after the fact to murder, fleeing from police, dangerous driving, and refusal to comply with a breath demand. Iron is also scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake court on October 6.
Authorities have stated that the investigation is still ongoing.
