The community of East Prairie, Missouri, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Joseph Lawrence Farver, who passed away on October 4, 2025, near Advance at the young age of 22.
Born on August 7, 2003, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, Joseph was the beloved son of Joe Farver and Amber Jenkins. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who was blessed to know him.
Joseph was a proud and hardworking Union Carpenter, a profession that reflected his dedication, strength, and commitment to excellence. He approached his work with precision and pride, often going above and beyond to help others on and off the job site.
His strong work ethic and reliability earned him respect among his peers, but it was his warmth and generosity that truly set him apart. Outside of work, Joseph had a deep love for the outdoors.
He found peace and happiness while hunting and fishing, hobbies that allowed him to connect with nature and create cherished memories with friends and loved ones.
However, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his girlfriend, Ryanne Ambrose, and their three beloved dogs — Dally, Sarge, and Copper. Joseph’s love for animals was as genuine as his love for people; his dogs were his companions and a treasured part of his life.
Those who knew Joseph will always remember his ability to light up every room he entered. His laughter was contagious, and his kind heart made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Friends and family describe him as selfless, caring, and dependable, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer support when someone needed it most. He was affectionately known as “everyone’s caregiver”, a reflection of the way he naturally put others before himself.
Joseph’s family meant the world to him. He is survived by his loving mother, Amber (Brodie) Harkness of Dexter, his devoted father, Joe Farver of Advance, his girlfriend, Ryanne Ambrose of East Prairie, and their cherished dogs.
He also leaves behind his grandmother, Elizabeth Warren of Dexter; great-grandmother, Doris Langston of Bloomfield; his brother, Joshua Farver of Dexter; and his sister, Addison Loftus of Warrenton, Missouri. Each of them holds countless memories of Joseph’s laughter, warmth, and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Candy Farver, great-grandfather, Bob Langston, and great-great-grandfather, Joseph Lawrence James, whose name he proudly carried.
Family and friends are invited to honor Joseph’s memory during visitation on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Mike Cartright, with burial at Rock Point Cemetery near Bloomfield.
Joseph Farver will be remembered for his radiant spirit, unwavering kindness, and the love he shared so freely. Though his time on earth was far too short, his legacy of compassion, joy, and hard work will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
