It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of Rachel Counts, age 23, who was fatally shot on Sunday night in the Winton Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Incident & Cause of Death

At approximately **10:45 p.m.** on Sunday, police responded to Kings Run Court in Winton Hills, where Rachel was found with a gunshot wound.
First responders carried out life-saving efforts, but Rachel was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit has since arrested **Omarion Horne, 23**, on charges of murder in connection with the shooting.
Authorities have not yet disclosed whether Rachel and the suspect had any known prior connection.
