Fatima Guadalupe Valenzuela-Flores Obituary, Death; THP: Driver charged with vehicular homicide after Sullivan County crash

Fatima Guadalupe Valenzuela-Flores Obituary, Death; – A man is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and DUI, following a deadly accident in Sullivan County on Monday.

As reported by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox was heading north on Highway 421 shortly before 4 a.m.

A passenger was leaning out of the window as the vehicle neared Shady Ford Road, according to THP. The vehicle subsequently veered off the right side of the road and into a ditch.
While traversing the ditch, the passenger, identified by authorities as Fatima Guadalupe Valenzuela-Flores, 21, reportedly fell out of the window and into the ditch.

Valenzuela-Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, identified by THP as Jacob Dylan Chambers, 21, turned around and returned to Highway 421, passing the site of the crash. He then crossed the bridge over South Holston Lake and parked on the right side of the road at the boat ramp parking area.

Chambers has been charged with the following offenses, according to THP:
