Michael J Landry Obituary, Death; – A man from Connecticut has been confirmed as the victim of a deadly accident that took place in New York on Sunday afternoon, as reported by law enforcement.
According to the New York State Police, the victim, who was operating a 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was identified as 65-year-old Michael J. Landry from Ellington.
Troopers arrived at the scene of the two-vehicle accident at approximately 2:50 p.m. on State Route 22 in Canaan, as stated by the police. The other vehicle involved, a 2024 Porsche, “attempted to make a left turn, failing to yield the right of way to a 2014 Harley-Davidson,” the police reported.
Authorities indicated that Landry was thrown from his motorcycle during the collision and was subsequently airlifted to a medical facility, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The police also mentioned that the driver of the Porsche, an 85-year-old man from New York, was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The investigation into this tragic accident is still ongoing, according to the police.
