With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Sean Regan, a beloved retired Captain of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, a loving father, cherished friend, and family man. Sean’s unexpected departure leaves a profound emptiness for all who knew him.

Throughout his distinguished career, Captain Regan served the Montgomery County community with unwavering dedication, passion, and integrity. His leadership at the Takoma Park Fire Station earned him the respect of colleagues and the gratitude of the community he protected. Even after retirement, Sean continued his commitment to safety as Safety Director at Keller Brothers, Inc., Keller Construction Management, and Canyon Contracting, always prioritizing the wellbeing of others.
Born in Olney, Maryland, and a proud graduate of Sherwood High School, Sean built a life centered on family and service. Residing in Frederick, Maryland, he was a pillar of strength and love for his two daughters, to whom he gave his whole heart and every ounce of strength. His fierce devotion to his girls was evident to all who knew him.
Eight years ago, on his wedding day, Sean and his family shared a moment of completeness and joy—a memory that remains deeply cherished. While Sean will be profoundly missed, there is comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his beloved Jenny. In his own words, he would urge us to “skip the John Wayne stuff” and instead celebrate his life with laughter, love, and a Natty Light toast on every anniversary.
Sean’s kindness, humor, and dedication touched many lives—from family and friends to the firefighters and colleagues who stood alongside him. As we grieve, we also celebrate the legacy of a man who gave so much to those around him.
Details about memorial arrangements and ways to support the Regan family will be shared as they become available.
Rest peacefully, Captain Sean Regan. Your courage and care continue to inspire us all.
