EAGLE PASS, Texas — The Eagle Pass community is mourning the tragic loss of 24-year-old Guillermo Beltran Jr., who was killed early Wednesday morning, October 29, 2025, in a fatal crash in Midland County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Beltran was driving a 2023 Cadillac CT4 northbound on County Road 1270 around 12:50 a.m. when his vehicle veered out of its lane and collided head-on with a 2013 Freightliner semi-truck parked on the shoulder of the southbound lane.

Authorities confirmed that Beltran, a native of Eagle Pass, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by Midland County officials. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.

The DPS continues to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash, working to determine what factors may have contributed to this tragic incident.
