In memory of Shannon Lee, a talented musician, sound engineer, and arts advocate from Oakville, Ontario, who tragically took her own life on November 7th at just 24 years old. Shannon’s love for the arts began early and evolved into a lifelong passion. She studied Integrated Musical Arts at Wilfrid Laurier University, where her dedication and creativity set her apart. Over the years, she worked as a Live Sound Technician at The Hub Kitchener, a Meanwhile Spaces Coordinator at ArtsBuild Ontario, and contributed to organizations like Numus Concerts and Innovative Arts. Her work helped uplift local musicians and foster inclusive spaces for artists of all backgrounds.

Those who knew Shannon describe her as vibrant, authentic, and endlessly kind. She brought people together through her laughter, empathy, and music, creating an atmosphere where everyone felt seen and valued.
