Authorities have identified the driver of the car as Jaclyn L. Hamill, a 43-year-old educator whose life was abruptly cut short in the incident.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 7:11 a.m. on December 16, 2025, near the intersection of Deans Corner Road and Turk Hill Road. Investigators said the collision involved a 2016 Honda Civic sedan and a commercial moving truck traveling in opposite directions. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Hamill was declared dead at the scene. The two occupants of the moving truck were not injured.

Preliminary findings indicate that the Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Deans Corner Road as it approached Turk Hill Road. While navigating a curve, the vehicle crossed over the double yellow centerline into the northbound lane, where it collided with the oncoming truck.
