Carter J Conklin Obituary, Death; – A 17-year-old boy who was discovered deceased at a residence on Thursday morning was murdered, according to officials.

The teenager, identified as Carter J. Conklin from Engle Road in Pine Township, suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, as stated by Columbia County Coroner Jeremy Reese.
First responders were summoned to the residence shortly before 7:30 a.m. following a report of a deceased male. State Police and the coroner’s office arrived at the scene, and after conducting a forensic autopsy on Friday, concluded that Conklin had been murdered.

The teenager was enrolled at Millville Area School District, which released a statement yesterday confirming the death of one of its students.

State police are continuing their investigation.
