Daisy Valenzuela Vines Obituary, Death – Woman Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle in Pigeon Forge

The Pigeon Forge Police Department has confirmed the death of 58-year-old Daisy Valenzuela Vines of Ooltewah, who was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing a busy intersection on Friday evening.

According to Police Chief Richard Catlett, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. as Vines attempted to cross Dollywood Lane at the intersection with U.S. 441. She was immediately transported by air ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver involved, 18-year-old Bryson Cooper of Kodak, remained at the scene and cooperated fully with authorities, Chief Catlett said.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. The investigation is expected to be completed by Wednesday, with findings to be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.

Chief Catlett expressed condolences, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by this unfortunate incident.”
