Christopher James Easton Obituary, Death – Motorcyclist Killed in Colorado Springs Collision

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has identified the motorcyclist who died following a tragic crash on July 29 as 28-year-old Christopher James Easton.

Authorities say the crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Constitution Avenue and Sierra Drive. According to investigators, a mid-size SUV was traveling south on Sierra and making a left turn onto Constitution when Easton, who was riding westbound in the right lane, swerved left in an attempt to avoid the collision. Despite his efforts, the motorcycle struck the left side of the SUV.

The impact threw both Easton and his female passenger from the motorcycle. Emergency crews transported them to a nearby hospital, where Easton later succumbed to his injuries. The passenger’s condition has not been released.

Police say the driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. No impairment is suspected at this time.

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office confirmed Easton’s identity and cause of death. CSPD noted that this incident marks the city’s 34th traffic-related fatality of 2025, compared to 32 at the same time last year.

Funeral arrangements for Christopher James Easton will be announced by his family.
