Jeffrey Allen Flood Obituary, Death; – Authorities are in the process of identifying a man who lost his life following a wrong-way collision on Interstate 84, which resulted in his Tesla catching fire on Saturday, as reported by the Oregon State Police.

According to the Oregon State Police, officials arrived at the scene of the crash near Milepost 24 at approximately 3:49 a.m. Investigators present at the location indicated that a BMW X3 was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it collided head-on with a Tesla Model Y.

The Tesla subsequently caught fire and became “fully engulfed,” as stated by OSP. The driver, who was identified on Monday as 40-year-old Jeffrey Allen Flood, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the BMW also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, according to officials.

The investigation caused traffic disruptions for around five hours on Saturday morning.

The investigation is still ongoing.
