Donald Bryant,Heavan Glison Obituary, Death;- Authorities have identified two individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident that also resulted in another person being injured near the Taylor Ridge Apartments in Independence during the night.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on September 21, law enforcement officers responded to the complex and discovered a 33-year-old man who had been shot outside, as stated in a news release from officials. The police characterized the incident as a suspected murder-suicide.

Investigators conducted a search for the suspect, 34-year-old Donald Bryant, and 24-year-old Heavan Glison in a nearby wooded area. The police cordoned off the location and deployed drones and K9 units to assist in locating the two individuals, according to the release.

Additional gunfire was reported from the woods, which led to a SWAT team being dispatched to the scene. At 3 a.m., both Bryant and Glison were discovered deceased from gunshot wounds. The man who was initially found shot is currently in critical condition at a local hospital, according to police reports.

Authorities have not yet revealed the nature of the relationship between the suspected shooter and the other two victims.

Independence Police Captain Mike Brock informed Enquirer media partner Fox19 that Bryant succumbed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation into the shootings is ongoing, and law enforcement is actively searching for a two-door 1992 Honda Prelude featuring a black hood and a Kentucky license plate reading SOG-514.
