The Belmont, North Carolina community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Justin Todd Frady, 40, who passed away on September 22, 2025. Born on January 16, 1985, in Bessemer City, NC, Justin was the beloved son of Todd and Rhonda Anderson Frady. His passing has left an immense void in the hearts of his family, friends, church community, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
To say that Justin “never met a stranger” is an understatement. He had a rare and beautiful gift for connection. With a warm handshake, a welcoming smile, or one of his signature jokes, Justin had a way of making people feel as though they had known him their entire lives.
He saw the good in everyone and made sure they saw it too. His laugh was infectious, his compassion boundless, and his presence a source of comfort and joy to those around him.
At the heart of Justin’s life was a deep love for people and a calling to serve them. He had a special passion for working with youth, dedicating countless hours to mentoring, coaching, and guiding young people.
Whether on the football field, the baseball diamond, or in quiet conversation, Justin’s goal was always the same — to help kids believe in themselves and understand their worth. He wasn’t just a coach; he was a role model, a mentor, and often, a lifelong friend. Many of the young people he inspired will carry his words and wisdom with them into adulthood.
Justin also had a playful, joyful side that brought smiles wherever he went. One of his favorite traditions was dressing up as Buddy the Elf at Levine Children’s Hospital, bringing laughter and light to children facing some of life’s toughest battles. It wasn’t just about making people laugh — for Justin, it was about reminding them that joy is powerful medicine, even in the darkest times.
Faith was the cornerstone of Justin’s life. He was deeply involved with his church families at CrossFix Church and Life Church, where he found purpose, community, and strength. His unwavering faith and commitment to serving others reflected his deep belief in God’s love and grace.
Justin’s legacy will live on through those he loved most. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted wife, Courtney Frady, and their beloved children, Adilyn, Zane, and Maddox Frady.
He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Amber Frady; grandmother, Toni Anderson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; father-in-law and wife, Phil and Teri Vazquez; mother-in-law and husband, Lori and Steve Dever; and brother-in-law, Michael Vazquez. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John R. Anderson, Jr., Lewis Frady, and Barbara Frady.
A celebration of Justin’s life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Life Church, with Reverends Michael Goins and Andrew Byrd officiating. Interment will be private at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
Though his life ended far too soon, Justin’s legacy of kindness, faith, laughter, and love will continue to shine brightly in the countless lives he touched. He will be forever remembered as a devoted husband and father, a trusted friend, and a true light in his community.
