Investigators arrived at the scene just before dawn on Sunday morning to find the body of a 27-year-old hotel employee at the bottom of a swimming pool. The discovery was made by maintenance staff in the deeper section of the water shortly after 6:30 a.m.

Further details confirmed the victim as Taras Ivanyshyn, a seasonal worker at the Minerva Resort Hotel in Paestum, located near Capaccio, Italy. Police are examining whether the death resulted from an underlying medical issue or a preventable mishap.

The establishment’s security reported that no other employees were aware of the individual’s late-night presence near the pool area. Ivanyshyn had recently returned to university studies and was described by acquaintances as a thoughtful and sociable person.

A close friend expressed shock, stating, “He was always courteous and easygoing, someone you’d want around.”

The authorities have scheduled an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death as the probe continues.
