Toronto Police Identify Victim in Fatal East-End Stabbing

Toronto police have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing in an east-end residence on Tuesday as 34-year-old Dwight Langille.


According to investigators, officers responded around 2:30 p.m. to reports of a stabbing at a home near Woodbine Avenue and O’Connor Drive. Langille was found with life-threatening injuries and transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police confirmed that a 17-year-old suspect, who was known to the victim, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. The accused was scheduled to appear in an Ontario court on Wednesday.

Duty Inspector Brian Maslowski said the investigation remains active, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Toronto Police Service tip line.
