Nevada authorities reported a fatality involving a commercial truck driver who lost control of his vehicle on Interstate 80 near Battle Mountain. The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene at approximately 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, September 20. The incident occurred roughly 48 miles east of Battle Mountain.

Initial findings from the investigation indicate a white Peterbilt truck, a combination tractor-trailer classified as a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), was traveling westbound in the left lane. The driver, identified as Robb Johnson, apparently lost control of the vehicle. His actions caused the truck to depart the roadway and cross into the center median, resulting in a rollover.

Robb Johnson, whose age was 54 and who resided in West Jordan, Utah, suffered critical injuries. Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the crash site. The Nevada Highway Patrol is continuing their investigation into the incident.
