John Starks III Obituary, Death; – One individual has lost his life, and another is in a critical state following a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning in Franklin County.

Franklin County Sheriff Tom Tindle reported that John Starks III, aged 26, was fatally shot around 1:30 a.m. on Mildred Davis Road. He further stated that another man sustained critical injuries, while a third individual was also struck but suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

Sheriff Tindle has named the suspect in the shooting as Roeland Williams, aged 24. “He is a resident of Franklin County, but we have received information that he has been spending considerable time recently in Adams County,” Tindle remarked. The Sheriff refrained from speculating on the motive behind the shooting. He also mentioned that he has informed Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten and other law enforcement agencies in Natchez, who are collaborating in the search for Williams.
