BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — A tragic incident occurred at the Mall of America on Saturday evening, October 4, 2025, when a man was found deceased after an apparent fall from one of the mall’s parking ramps, according to Bloomington Police.

Authorities said officers and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the Mall of America around 7:30 p.m. following reports of a person down near one of the parking structures. Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bloomington Police confirmed that early indications suggest the man jumped from the parking ramp, though the exact circumstances remain under investigation. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.

A large police and emergency presence was visible around the area as officers secured the scene and began interviewing witnesses. Portions of the parking structure were temporarily closed as the investigation continued.

Mall officials expressed condolences in a brief statement, saying, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident and are cooperating fully with law enforcement. Our hearts are with the individual’s loved ones during this difficult time.”

Police have not released further details but said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
