Fred C Swope Obituary, Death; – A 90-year-old man passed away on Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Decatur.

As reported by Decatur police, officers along with Decatur Fire and Rescue responded to a call at approximately 7:59 a.m. in the 1800 block of 11th Street SE. The driver remained at the location.

The deceased has been identified as Fred C. Swope. Medical personnel attempted to resuscitate him, but he was declared dead at the scene by Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn.

Authorities indicate that the investigation is still in progress.
