Achilles Seward Obituary, Death; – A 16-year-old is charged with murder in connection to the June killing of a teen boy in Newburg. Police said a shooting happened the evening on June 23 in the 5300 block of Ridgecrest Road.

Achilles Seward, 16, died at the scene. Family said he was out with his friends when the shooting happened.

“It just feels like a dream. It was so sudden, out of nowhere that it just should have never happened. He should still be here. We feel like this is the worst week of our lives,” his sister, Makia Seward, told WLKY after his death.

On Wednesday, LMPD announced a 16-year-old boy is being charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a minor. No further details were immediately available.
