Miguel Angel Cruz-Cid Obituary, Death; – A deceased individual was discovered in Toppenish, and a man was found fatally stabbed in Granger, both likely victims of the same perpetrator on the same day, as per the investigators from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
As reported by the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, around 11 p.m. on August 13, officers from the Granger Police Department responded to a welfare check request at a residence on East A Street. Upon arrival, they found a man, identified as Miguel Angel Cruz-Cid, aged 51, who appeared to have sustained multiple stab wounds resulting in his death. The Granger police subsequently sought the assistance of the YCSO in the homicide investigation.
According to the YCSO, the suspect involved in the Granger homicide was apprehended in Walla Walla County after crashing a vehicle while being pursued by the Washington State Patrol. Deputies indicated that evidence suggests the suspect was also responsible for the homicide in Toppenish.
