South Carolina D-Line Coach Travian Robertson Hospitalized After Car Crash

South Carolina defensive line coach Travian Robertson is in the hospital following a car accident on Friday morning. Details about the crash remain limited, but sources indicate that Robertson, 36, is receiving care in the trauma ICU at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

According to reports, Robertson was involved in a head-on collision that required immediate surgery on his ankle. Despite the severity of the accident, South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer confirmed that Robertson “is doing OK.”

Robertson, a former Gamecocks defensive lineman from 2007-2011, is entering his third season as South Carolina’s defensive line coach. The university and fans are sending well wishes to Robertson for a full and speedy recovery as he continues treatment at the hospital.
