Charles Symeou, London, Cause of Death, Obituary: We announce with deep sorrow and heavy hearts the departure of our beloved Charles (Charlie) Symeou, who passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Everyone who had the honor of knowing him will miss his warmth, humor, and love.
Charlie leaves behind Christine, his beloved wife, with whom he had a life full of family, love, and cherished memories. In addition to being a cherished father-in-law to Andy, Chris, and Saleem, he was a proud and devoted father to his three daughters, Kiki, Elena, and Georgia. His five devoted grandchildren—Alexander, Charlotte, Ellie, Isabelle, and Emily—also leave a lasting impact. Charlie made their lives brighter, and they will always remember him as a good-hearted, giving grandfather who loved his family.
Charlie’s life was always filled with love and laughter, and even the family dog, Hugo, played a significant role in capturing the coziness and intimacy of the home he helped create and maintain.
Charlie will be remembered in keeping with the customs that were important to him. Charlie was a proud Londoner with deep ties to the Greek Orthodox community. His funeral will be held at St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, Friern Barnet Lane, London N20 0NL, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 12 p.m. Trent Park Cemetery, Cockfosters Road, Barnet, EN4 0DZ, will be the site of the funeral.
We cordially encourage Charlie’s family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched to come and pay their respects. In addition to his steadfast love for his family, he will be remembered for his strong moral character, generosity, and fortitude.
A contribution box will be provided at the church in place of elaborate flower tributes, and the money raised will go to Cancer Research, a cause that is dear to the family. Please deliver any flowers you would like to send to Archangel Funerals by 4 p.m. on Monday, September 1.
We consider the life of a man who meant a great deal to a great number of people as we get ready to say our final goodbyes. He led with love, lived with purpose, and left a legacy that will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
May his memories last forever.
Charlie, may you rest in peace.
