Jefferson County deputies are investigating after a body was discovered around noon on 25, august in the dunes, about a quarter of a mile inland from the beach. While official identification has not yet been made, investigators believe the remains may be those of 45-year-old Martin Glack, who has been missing since last Wednesday.

According to authorities, Glack’s vehicle became stuck in the sand, and he was last seen as he waited for a tow truck. When he could not be located, a search began in the surrounding area. Deputies noted that Glack is the only person reported missing in that part of the county in recent days.

The cause of death has not yet been determined. An autopsy has been ordered to confirm the identity and provide more information on what happened.
