Man Fatally Stabbed in Auburn Gresham; Police Investigating

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police are investigating a deadly stabbing that occurred early Tuesday morning in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the city’s Far South Side.

Authorities said the incident took place shortly after 2:30 a.m. in the 900 block of West 78th Street. Officers responding to a well-being check discovered an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have not yet released the man’s name or age, pending notification of his family. The circumstances leading up to the attack remain under investigation.

Detectives with the Chicago Police Department are actively working the case and confirmed that a person of interest has been questioned. However, no additional details about that individual’s involvement have been released. At this time, no arrests have been made and no motive has been determined.
