Talihina, OK — The community is mourning the loss of Anderson Davis James, 66, who passed away peacefully at his home on August 14, 2025. Born on September 6, 1958, in Talihina, Anderson lived a full life surrounded by family, friends, and the things he loved most.

Known for his passion for working on cars, riding his 4-wheeler, and mowing, Anderson found joy in simple pleasures and hands-on activities. His loved ones remember him as a man of dedication and heart, whose presence brought warmth and companionship to those around him.

A faithful member of the Church of God in Christ, Anderson’s life was guided by faith and community values. His spiritual devotion was a source of strength and comfort to both his family and his congregation.

Anderson was preceded in death by Temple Lee James, Clarence James, and Clarence James Jr. He is survived by his siblings: Helen Beal of Ada, OK; Donald James of Ada, OK; Gwendolyn James of Tulsa, OK; and Abarm James of Ada, OK. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cole Spur Cemetery, with Bro. Sonny Tyson officiating. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.

Anderson’s family and friends take comfort in knowing his legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the many lives he touched.
