LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. — Authorities have identified the man found deceased alongside a fence line in Lucerne Valley on Monday afternoon as 35-year-old Vincent Gonzalez, a resident of the community.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Gonzalez was discovered around 12:13 p.m. on August 25, 2025, near Old Woman Springs Road (Highway 247) close to Locust Avenue.

“Gonzalez was found by a person passing by. He was lying next to a fence and was determined to be deceased. No suspicious circumstances were noted. Cause and manner of death remain pending autopsy,” said Mara Rodriguez, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office later confirmed Gonzalez’s identity.

No further details have been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
