It is with profound sadness that the family of Ross Robertson O’Donnell announces his sudden and tragic passing on August 25, 2005, at the age of 45.
His loss has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his beloved wife Heather, his sons Carter and Matthew, their extended families, countless friends, and the wider community who cherished him.
Ross was a man whose presence was instantly felt the moment you met him. He had an easy charm and a warmth that made it hard not to love him. Above all else, he was known for his unwavering devotion to his wife and sons.
He was fiercely loyal to his family, protective of those he loved, and took immense pride in being a husband and father. Even the family dogs, whom Ross swore he “didn’t like,” eventually revealed the softer side of his heart, as he could often be found sneaking them treats or sitting quietly with them by his side.
Ross’s generosity extended well beyond his family circle. He was someone who naturally gave of himself—his time, his energy, and his compassion—to friends, neighbors, and even strangers.
His openness and kindness were qualities that drew people in, and those who spent time with him knew they could count on his support, whether in moments of joy or times of difficulty. Ross had a remarkable ability to make others feel valued, respected, and cared for.
His sense of humor, coupled with his down-to-earth personality, made him a joy to be around. Whether he was sharing stories, lending a hand on a project, or simply enjoying time with others, Ross carried himself with authenticity. He lived fully, loved deeply, and gave generously, leaving behind memories that will be treasured forever.
The O’Donnell family invites all who knew and loved Ross to join them for a celebration of his life on August 31, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Glacier Valley Farms. The service will be followed by refreshments, and the family encourages guests to come in **casual attire—no suits—**in honor of Ross’s preference for simplicity and comfort.

Ross Robertson O’Donnell will be remembered as a man of love, loyalty, humor, and generosity. His life touched so many, and his absence will be felt deeply. Yet his spirit will live on through the countless lives he influenced, the community he helped build, and the family he adored beyond measure.
