Kevin Steinfeldt Obituary, Death;- The conclusive report regarding an officer-involved shooting in New Hampshire determines that the police acted justifiably in their application of lethal force.
Law enforcement personnel discharged their weapons at Kevin Steinfeldt, aged 58, at the Federal House Inn in Plymouth in November 2024, following a 10-hour standoff, when he approached the front door brandishing a firearm.
While some bullets fired by the officers struck Steinfeldt, the investigation ultimately revealed that his death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
According to the findings of the investigation, New Hampshire State Police Sgt. Michael Cedrone, Sgt. Stefan Czyzowski, Sgt. Nicholas Levesque, Tpr. Daniel Roger, Tpr. First Class Ryan St. Cyr, and Sgt. Noah Sanctuary were legally justified in their decision to shoot at Steinfeldt, as it was reasonable for them to perceive him as an imminent threat.
