It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Mariah Buck, 45, of Fairmount, North Dakota, who lost her life in a bicycle accident on Tuesday afternoon, August 26, 2025, in Richland County.

Mariah was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished friend to many. Known for her kindness, warmth, and selfless spirit, she touched countless lives with her generosity and unwavering love for her family and community. Her sudden passing has left an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew her.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that Mariah was struck while riding her bike on County Road 81. Despite immediate response, she passed away at the scene.

Her family, now facing unimaginable grief, is surrounded by the love and support of the Fairmount and Hankinson communities. A GoFundMe has been established to help support her loved ones during this heartbreaking time.

Services to honor and remember Mariah will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hankinson, ND:

Visitation: Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 5:00–6:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.
Visitation continues: Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 2:00–3:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
Burial: Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hankinson, ND.
