Gregory Hughes Obituary, Death;- Detectives from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Traffic Homicide department sought assistance from the public on Friday to find the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a bicyclist late Monday night.

The bicyclist has been identified as 63-year-old Gregory Hughes.

The incident took place around 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of 103rd Street and Northwest 12th Avenue in the Pinewood area of the county. According to deputies, the driver left the scene without providing aid or any information.

They described the vehicle as a four-door Hyundai Elantra from the years 2017 to 2020, gray or silver in color, which may have sustained damage to the front end and windshield.
