PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — The Portsmouth community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Savannah Mariah Tessier, a beloved daughter, friend, and recent graduate of Plymouth State University, who tragically passed away in a fatal accident.
Savannah, remembered for her compassion, warmth, and vibrant spirit, touched countless lives with her kindness and positivity. Born and raised in Portsmouth, she was admired for her determination, generosity, and the joy she brought to others.
From 2020 to 2024, she attended Plymouth State University, where she built lasting friendships and pursued her passion for learning. Friends and classmates recall her as a dedicated student who worked tirelessly toward her goals, while also uplifting others with her humor and infectious smile.
“Savannah had a rare gift of making people feel valued and loved,” one friend shared. “She was a beautiful soul taken too soon.”
Outside of academics, Savannah lived with energy and love, cherishing time with family and friends, enjoying life’s simple pleasures, and embracing adventures both big and small. Loved ones say her laughter was contagious, and her kindness left an impression on everyone she met.
The suddenness of her passing has left both the Portsmouth community and her university peers in shock. Tributes have flooded social media, where many continue to honor her as someone who radiated light and positivity.
To celebrate Savannah’s life, a Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Blue Ocean Music Hall, 4 Ocean Front North, Salisbury, Massachusetts.
