ragic Baltimore Shooting Claims One Life, Injures Five, Including Young Child

A tragic act of gun violence shook Baltimore on Saturday night, leaving one man dead and five others wounded, among them a young child.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 8:46 p.m. on August 9 at the intersection of Spaulding and Queensberry Avenues. Responding officers found six victims suffering from gunshot wounds — four men and two women.

Among the injured was a five-year-old girl, struck in the hand. She, along with a 23-year-old woman, 32-year-old man, 33-year-old man, and 52-year-old man, are all expected to survive their injuries, which are considered non-life-threatening.

A 38-year-old man was critically wounded at the scene and later died from his injuries on August 10.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley stated that investigators do not believe the shooting was a drive-by, citing the large number of shell casings found in the area. Authorities have not yet determined whether the victims were specifically targeted.

No arrests have been made, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.

This incident adds to Baltimore’s ongoing struggle with gun violence, leaving families and the community searching for answers and justice.
