Authorities in Spring Hill are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a teenager Sunday night at the Grand Reserve apartments.

Police say officers responded to reports of gunfire at 3085 Commonwealth Drive around 8:15 p.m. on August 10. Upon arrival, they found a 17-year-old male in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The teen was rushed to a local emergency room but was later pronounced dead. His name has not yet been released as authorities work to notify his family.

According to investigators, the suspect fled the scene in a blue sedan with noticeable damage to the right front bumper. Detectives remained on scene through the night, collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting or the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward.
