Norberto Celerino Obituary, Death; Norberto Celerino from Stockton has been identified as the individual driving a van that collided with a tree in Napa County on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of six individuals and injuries to two others, as reported by authorities on Monday.

Celerino, aged 53, was apprehended on charges of driving under the influence after the van he was operating veered off Pope Valley Road and struck a tree at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Of the eight occupants in the van, six were pronounced dead at the scene, while two others, including the driver, were transported to hospitals, officials stated. The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed at this time. The Napa County coroner’s office has not yet responded to requests for further information.

The nature of the relationship between Celerino and the passengers remains unclear. No additional details regarding the incident have been made available.

CHP Sgt. Andrew Barclay indicated that the investigation is still in progress.
