Noah Snyder,Scott Michaud Obituary, Death; – Two Marquette Golden Eagles men’s lacrosse players tragically lost their lives in a car accident on Friday night close to the university’s main campus in Milwaukee, according to officials.
The deceased have been identified as Noah Snyder and Scott Michaud.
“We ask that you keep the parents, siblings, and families of Noah and Scott, as well as the Marquette Athletics and college communities, in your thoughts and prayers,” stated Marquette president Kimo Ah Yun on social media. “The lives of Noah and Scott were cut short, and we share in the sorrow of their teammates, coaches, and all who knew them personally.”
Snyder, aged 20, played as an attackman for the team. He was a sophomore studying business administration from Irving, New York. Michaud, 19, served as a goalie for the lacrosse team. He was a sophomore majoring in biomedical sciences from Springboro, Ohio.
Both individuals were recognized on the Big East Conference’s All-Academic Team during their first year at the university for achieving a 3.0 GPA average.
On Friday evening, a 41-year-old driver was involved in a collision with another vehicle that had six occupants, as reported by Milwaukee police. All six individuals in the second vehicle were members of the lacrosse team, according to Marquette officials.
Snyder and Michaud were declared dead at the scene. The other four occupants received treatment either at the scene or at local hospitals, police reported.
The identity of the 41-year-old driver has not been disclosed. Authorities indicated that an investigation is currently underway, and criminal charges are under review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
