The Rockford community is mourning the tragic loss of 45-year-old Mark Gesswein, who passed away on Friday, September 5th, following a fatal motorcycle crash in Winnebago County.

According to authorities, the incident occurred near West State Street and Monroe Street when Gesswein’s motorcycle was forced off the roadway, resulting in a crash that claimed his life. Emergency responders pronounced him deceased at the scene.
